Silly Kitty

Two silly points:

1. I delivered a 9 1/2lb baby.
2. Kitty jumped on my chest the other day. Just bam, she's on my chest. I guess she wanted me to carry her.

Does anyone remember David the Gnome? an 80's cartoon? and the Little Prince? He was a lonely prince who lived on a meteor.

"Look around you. There are many things to see, that some would say could never be. These things I know. It's true and I will tell you so. They are there to see, if you believe. Trolls and wizards and fairy kings, birds that talk and fish that sing. And if your heart is true, then you will find them too. In every wish and dream and happy home, you will find a kingdom of the Gnomes."

Attending on H. Pylori.

Me: "I get GERD really easily"

Attending: "Have you had that checked out?"

Me: "No. Well, I tested negative for H. Pylori."

Attending: "Oh, that's good. I guess that means that you don't have to use a condom." Bursts out laughing and banging the counter. "Wait, that must be only for oral sex." More laughter. "I guess I took it too far"

Crackheads having babies.

I've worked at several county hospitals, which treat the un-insured, indigent population, over the years. Mind you, uninsured, economicall challenged people vary from the crackhead to the housewife. What do you do when a cocaine using mother has three children all of which are under CPS custody? How about offering sterilization?

I understand there is a fine line here. How about the illegal immigrant with six children? What features would qualify for involuntary sterilization and what features would disqualify a person? Who would pay for these procedures? Is it ethical to sterilize people out of concern for the quality or productiveness or costliness of its offspring?

"CHARLESTON, S.C. - A city councilman apologized for suggesting that parents who don’t properly care for their children should be sterilized to help reduce crime" http://msnbc.msn.com/id/15116997/from/RS.5/
