Update on Ladybugs and Friends.

Ladybugs.

Most of the ladybugs have left but they ate up ALL the aphids. One plant is crawling with baby ladybugs. Baby lady bugs are actually ladybug larvae. The larvae are quite unusual. They are actually larger than ladybugs and much more ferocious. They are swarming up and down one of my rose bushes searching for aphids. They look like 3/4 inch long black caterpillars with a red swirly stripe.

Friends.

For our miami trip, I'm going to lazily ask that you check out gonzo's blog at www.gonzfather.blogspot.com

My Ladybug Garden.

I bought ladybugs again and distributed some to my rose bushes. Two thoughts:

1. My ladybugs are very happy. They won't stop making babies. Or as I told my 6-year old cousin, the mama lady bug is carrying the baby lady bug on her back ;)

2. A B-movie. "When LadyBugs Attack!" Ladybugs are happily playing about the garden until one day they run across some steroid-contaminated water and become giants. Forgetting that it was I who unleashed them in to my garden, they stomp in my house and attack!
