speaking of schizophrenia...

Today my attending said he and I were being a bit schizophrenic. I would start presenting a patient then we would get sidetracked by a topic. Then, he'd get paged. Then, we would open up a radiology file, discuss a medication, remember another patient, etc. Then, we'd loop back to our patient presentation but get sidetracked, paged, open a file all over again.

Funny story. So a patient was turning blue today and pt. was moved to the appropriate critical unit. It turns out that the pt's oxygen was off. Oops.
